Our Standards
Editorial Policy
ClinicPins publishes medical tourism content to help patients make informed decisions. Because this content influences healthcare choices, we hold ourselves to strict standards for accuracy, transparency, and honesty.
How We Research Content
Every treatment page, cost comparison, and guide on ClinicPins is researched using a combination of published clinical literature, official hospital pricing, and first-hand information gathered during our clinic visits.
We cross-reference claims with peer-reviewed sources wherever possible — including PubMed studies, FDA safety data, WHO reports, and professional society publications (ISAPS, ThPRS). Sources are cited inline with direct links so readers can verify them independently.
Pricing data is gathered directly from clinic rate cards and verified against published hospital pricing during our in-person visits. We update pricing annually or when we receive new information from partner clinics.
How We Select and Vet Clinics
No clinic appears on ClinicPins without being visited in person by our co-founders, Nat and Nisha. We do not list clinics based on online research alone or accept paid listings in exchange for placement.
During visits, we assess:
- Facility cleanliness and equipment standards
- Surgeon credentials and board certifications
- Hospital accreditation status (JCI, HA Thailand)
- Communication quality — can staff support English-speaking patients?
- Post-operative care protocols and follow-up procedures
- Transparency on pricing, inclusions, and exclusions
Clinics that don't meet our standards are not listed, regardless of whether they offer a referral partnership.
Conflict of Interest Disclosure
ClinicPins earns revenue through referral partnerships with clinics we recommend. When a patient books a procedure through us, the clinic pays ClinicPins a referral fee. This is how we fund the service.
We believe in full transparency about this arrangement:
- Referral fees never influence which clinic we recommend for a specific patient. We match based on the patient's needs, budget, and treatment goals.
- We will tell a patient if a clinic is not right for them, even if that clinic is a referral partner.
- We do not accept payment in exchange for positive reviews, favourable placement, or inflated ratings.
- Referral partnerships are disclosed on treatment pages where clinic recommendations appear.
Who Writes and Reviews Our Content
Content on ClinicPins is written by our founding team — Nat and Nisha. They are medical tourism concierge coordinators, not medical professionals. This distinction is important and is stated clearly on every treatment page.
All medical claims are verified against published clinical research before publication. We cite specific studies, datasets, and institutional sources rather than making unsupported claims about safety or outcomes.
We do not provide medical advice. Our content is informational — designed to help patients understand their options and ask better questions when they consult with a surgeon.
Corrections and Updates
If we publish something that is inaccurate, we correct it. We do not quietly edit pages — significant corrections are noted with the date of the update.
Pricing and procedural information is reviewed and updated regularly. Each treatment page displays a “Last updated” date so readers know how current the information is.
If you spot an error or have updated information, please contact us. We take accuracy seriously and appreciate corrections from readers, patients, and medical professionals.
